Where to Sleep in Hokkaido?

I and three of my friends have decided to visit Hokkaido during the time of our exchange in Korea in mid-November 2016. We booked a fight before visiting just 2 weeks ahead. However, the ticket is relatively cheap from Korea compared to departure from Thailand, about 6,800 baht for round trip. Another important must do before going is to find and book a place to sleep. We’re looking for a safe, affordable and easily transported place to stay from Agoda.com. And finally, end up at ‘Khaosan Sapporo Family Hostel’ rating 7.9/10 from visitors which cost around 3,700 baht per person only for 4 nights. How Cheap!!!

Despite a full service like 5 stars’ luxury hotel, the hostel didn’t disappoint us at all as we all enjoyed the place in every little simplicity details. We booked a room for 4 people, so there are 1 bunk bed and a Japanese style mat for 2 people to sleep on the floor. Plus, one bathroom with small bathtub. The best thing about this place is there is a separated bathroom and dress up room in which they called ‘Common Room’ for guest to use. It may not have surprised you but what I favor about it is that there is no one using it except four of us. Moreover, the room is very near our bedroom. Thus, we don’t have to compete for 1 bathroom inside our bedroom.

Living here gives me a sense of living home. The hostel’ officer is nice and fluent in English. She always answered and gave a suggestion when we asked enthusiastically.
In addition, on the ground floor, the hostel provides a common space for guest to exchange conversation and watch television in living room, do trip research from a guide book or computer and cook in a kitchen. Every night when we’re back late from a trip, we end up in kitchen serviced our self with hot green tea milk before going to sleep.
If you are planning to visit Hokkaido and looking for new living experience, I would highly recommend this place!!
